Allagash Wilderness Waterway North of the Knowledge of Indoor Plumbing July 2007

Our band of merry campers saw an astonishing amount of wildlife (much moose, deer, rabbits, ducks, geese, loons, more moose, more ducks, eagles, falcons, osprey, partridge, woodcock, and one coyote), ran lots of rapids, and enjoyed some truly gorgeous scenery. We paddled over 78 miles in all, and ended our journey within a few miles of the Saint John River, and Canada. It was a fantastic trip, and we would not change a thing (except, perhaps, that one rock in the Round Pond Rips). Much thanks to all our friends who made the trip with us! Lee & I are so very grateful for having been invited, and for having been part of such a fun and enjoyable adventure. John!
